Hugh Swann

Student Landscape Architect

Hugh is a Student Landscape Architect currently studying a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture (Honours) at the University of Canberra (UC). With a background in fine arts and over 5 years experience in landscape construction, Hugh is passionate about combining creative vision and functional design.

Hugh supports the team on various projects that include urban streetscapes, commercial precincts, public open space and residential developments, Hugh is highly adept in a wide range of software suites. This enables him to provide design inputs alongside producing detailed documentation and photographic visualisations.

Hugh’s experience and work ethic has been recognised through multiple awards, most notably being named the UC HUB courtyard design winner, the built outcome of which is constructed on the UC campus. In addition, Hugh’s refined graphic style and photographic skills can be seen on our website, having taken the imagery and produced some of the rendered plan visualisations of our landscape projects.

Hugh holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts, majoring from Photo-media, from the Australian National University and is a current member of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA). Hugh is also a dedicated committee member of the AILA student body, AILA Fresh ACT.
